Ildiko professional background and education lays on a foundation of the Decorative Arts Institute, Budapest, Hungary in which she mastered branding, graphic design, calligraphy and set design which helped her to create and fabricate several commercial and private space vignettes.
A degree in Ceramic Arts & Factory Production was supported by Master Artist Teacher: Zsuzsa Morvay of Hungary, where she completed her Internship.
Since 1985-she works in the Hollywood film industry. At the beginning she worked as a scenic artist and later as a set dresser, set decorator, art director and production designer. After 25 years she returned to her fascinated and equally stressful profession-as a fine art restorer for Artisan Restoration Center. During this year she stretched herself between filming locations, high-end residential construction sites and her ROCOCLAY Design Studio.
“This retrospective art collection has a flare of my native Hungary’s historic artifacts. In my design I strive to combine the valuable essence of centuries of hand-crafted ornamental ceramic art into creations of art objects to be placed in today’s architectural environment.”-Ildiko Toth
